Driving Us to Distractions

Since our discussion was on the essay Driving Us to Distraction, I think I will use this for my blog also. In the writing suggestions it says why we spend so much time monitoring social networking. I am one that is horrible at this. When I get bored, I will use my cell phone to check my Facebook or I will start checking my emails and text messages. I hate that this is one thing I do when I am bored, think of all of the other things I could get done instead of looking at what everyone else is doing on Facebook. I honestly don’t think that social networking is as important as some people think; it is just something to do to pass the time.  Once I start a family, I don’t think social networking sites will have me as “distracted” as they do now.
